FOOD- 4 Ingredient Pizza Bake

4-Ingredient Pizza Bake. Can't get too much better than this!

My family is always in the mood for pizza, so I decided to try this easy recipe! It turned out to be delicious!

2 pouches (7.5 oz each) Bisquick® Complete buttermilk biscuit mix
1 cup water
1 jar (14 oz) pizza sauce
1 package (8 oz) sliced pepperoni
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix and water until soft dough forms. Drop half of dough by spoonfuls evenly in bottom of baking dish (dough will not completely cover bottom of dish).
2. Drizzle about 1 cup pizza sauce over dough. Arrange 1/2 of the pepperoni slices evenly over sauce. Top with 1 cup of the cheese. Repeat layers with remaining dough, pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese.
3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into squares to serve.

I used what I already had at home, so I didn't have the pouches. I also didn't read the directions very carefully, and just made enough dough to fill the bottom of the pan. I think it was 2 cups baking mix to almost 1 cup water (I did half water and half milk because I wasn't quite sure which directions to follow).

Normally, with recipes that use a Bisquick base, I bake them for about 10 minutes first to give it a head start before adding the toppings. I think that would be wise to do next time because the middle wasn't quite done (though somehow I couldn't differentiate between melted cheese and raw dough so it all worked out). It turned out well and reheated nicely!
