FOOD-Oven Roasted Cabbage

I didn't know I liked cabbage until my mom had some with a roast in a crockpot one time. A friend also made a cabbage soup that was really good, so I decided to give this roasted cabbage a try!

I put olive oil, salt and pepper, and a few real bacon bits on them and threw them in the oven on some parchment paper on a cookie sheet.  I baked them at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, but in my mind they were supposed to be REALLY soft because of how I had tried it before, so I put in back in for 10 more minutes.

They still turned out chewy, but I actually enjoyed it a lot. I'm not sure what texture they are supposed to be.

I ate this entire piece and got a little stomach ache. My 1 year old helped but I tried to cut the pieces tiny so he could hopefully digest them!

  3. Baking and crock-pot recipes are my favorites so I will definitely be trying this out. I'm thinking of adding a bit of water and cooking it covered in Corningware to steam.

    1. That would probably work well! Would make it softer I'm sure.
